Paul Harvey was a celebrated sculptor whose distinctive bird sculptures were collected around the world, including by members of the Royal Family. He exhibited regularly at the prestigious Chelsea Flower Show and became renowned for his elegant style inspired by both nature and Art Deco design.
Paul began sculpting at the age of ten after discovering woodcarving at primary school. A lifelong fascination with birds shaped his work from an early age, leading him to develop the stylised, flowing forms that became his signature.
His studio, nestled in the Hampshire countryside on the former watercress beds of the Highclere Castle estate, remains a place of creativity and inspiration. Together with his wife, Paul transformed the surrounding land into a small nature reserve that provided constant inspiration for his sculptures.
Paul passed away peacefully at home on 14 June 2023 after a courageous battle with a brain tumour. His legacy lives on through his family, Sarah and Christian, who continue to share his beautiful work with collectors around the world.
