Asiatic lily. Bold bright flowers of tomato red make Red County a real statement flower. Flowering time: July–August. Height: 90-100cm. Easy to grow and will naturalise well in all garden conditions as long as they do not become waterlogged. In wetter soils add grit to the hole before planting the bulb to provide that extra drainage. Remember to protect the young shoots from slug and pest damage. Feed bulbs with a high phosphate and potash feed during the flower and leaf stage to ensure they flower in the following years. Can be left to naturalise from year to year and as they get older they will produce more flowers per stem. Best in Semi shade to full sun
