‘Darjeeling Banana’. Glossy green leaves unfurl to show their rich mahogany red random stripes. These will create a tall, tree-like specimens with new fronds emerging as they grow through summer. Leaf colour will typically become more uniformly green as they mature. Best grown in sunny, sheltered positions to prevent the wind from shredding its fragile foliage. Ideal specimen plant for sheltered gardens, either for the border or containers, but also great in a well lit indoor area or conservatory.
