Magnolia ‘Watermelon’

Rich crimson flowers, borne on bare stems before the foliage emerges. It flowers freely from a relatively young age and the semi-double flowers are large, even by Magnolia standards, typically 15cm – 20cm across. Narrow upright habit 6m x 3m in 10 years. Hardy to about -15 ºC. Sheltered site. Acid to neutral soil.
