‘Red Pippin’. An excellent garden eating apple, Cox like characteristics, crisp and sweet with a red skin, a heavy cropper but also very hardy. Fruit ripe in Sept, a good keeper.. Rootstock M27. Very dwarf. An attractive space-saving way to grow fruit. The stepover is a low-growing, horizontally-trained tree that can literally be ‘stepped over’. Stepovers can be planted along an edge of a path or a bed, and make an excellent divider on an allotment or fruit garden.
