Cercidiphyllum japonicum ‘Ra’ 60cm stem

Cercidiphyllum japonicum ‘Ra’ displays many colours throughout the season. In spring the upright growing variety has orange-yellow foliage, turning yellow in midsummer and eventually into a lime-green. The autumn shows a spectacular colour display reminiscent of a sunset. Despite its yellow colouring, ‘Ra’ does not grow any slower than comparable Cercidiphyllums. ‘Ra’ branches well and is very hardy. It is the perfect shrub to bring light into a dark spot in a garden and does not mind being in the semi-shade. Also gives off a sweet pungent scent -like burnt sugar. Ht 20ft. Best in full sun & moist acidic soil.
