How to plant Perennials

GENERAL PERENNIAL  PLANTING AND CARE
Dig a hole at least twice as wide and slightly deeper than the pot. Mix in well-rooted organic matter into the soil that has been removed and keep to one side

Plant to the same depth as tgrowing in the pot. If the plant stands high take out some of the soil in the bottom of the hole, or alternatively top it up a bit if it is too low

Ease the plant out of the pot, taking care not to damage any of the emerging shoots.

Position in the centre of the hole then fill in the gaps around the sides of the plant with soil/organic matter mixture, firm down gently - getting rid of any air pockets and making sure that it is secure.

Water thoroughly and  cover the surface with a generous layer of mulch.
Keep the mulch at least 5cm away from the base of the plant.
