What's on at Larch Cottage

Our Events department is in full swing and planning a series of great experiences for you to enjoy throughout the summer months and on in Autumn and Winter

JULY:

We have an activity day BEE-AWARE hosted by Penrith Beekeepers Association on Sunday 9th July 1.30 to 3.30pm, there is no admission charge but any donations will go to the PBA. Bring the kids and learn all about these fascinating creatures - even try on a Beekeepers suit - if you dare!

Yoga on the Lawn at Larch Cottage Nurseries! 
Join us on Wednesday 12th July as the wonderful Kate Stannard visits us providing a Yoga workshop followed by a two course lunch in our restaurant La Casa Verde.

AUGUST:

 A Cheese and Wine evening in our restaurant La Casa Verde - date to be confirmed.

Saturday 12th August will see a Pimms on the Lawn event being planned to raise funds for Hospice at Home.

SEPTEMBER:

Thursday 28th September we have the great Val Corbett back for a 1/2 day photography course - time to be confirmed but will most likely be held around dusk to capture the early evening light.

Friday 29th September is The World's Biggest Coffee morning raising money for Macmillan.

OCTOBER:

Come and make Autumn Hanging Baskets and enjoy afternoon tea in La Casa Verde on Tuesday 3rd October. In early October we are planning an Autumn Climber and pruning morning. Apple Pressing on the Sunday 15th October - bring your own apples and press them here. October half term all things apple related for kids including pressing, bobbing and spooky activities.

Red Barn Christmas Preview Weekend - with music in the courtyard, chestnuts roasting on open fires and Red Barn turned into a Christmas Wonderland - an annual event not to be missed!

NOVEMBER:

Going into November we will have Christmas Wreath making and will be starting up our own Larch Cottage Book Club then on the 11th and 12 November we are hoping to hold our own Christmas Farmer's Market in the courtyard and gardens.

JAN/FEB 2018

We are holding a wisteria pruning course run by head gardener Helen Laidlow - details to be confirmed.

Thank you to everyone who visited the Garden and Chapel on Wednesday 21st June 2017.
We raised £260 for The British Red Cross.
